The EAS Summer Slam I slow pitch softball tournament presented by SoCo Sport Inc is proud to crown the Bang Bros, Men’s Open Champions, Just 4 Show, Women’s Open Champions and Pipeline Specialties Co-Ed Champions. The Bang Bros marched through the Men’s Open bracket on Saturday with five straight victories to include a close 15-14 win over Colorado Springs Chaos to claim the EAS Summer Slam I Championship title. The Bang Bros earned a paid birth to the WSL/Worth West Coast Championships at Big League Dreams in Henderson, Nevada on the weekend of November 16-17. EAS and SoCo Sport Inc wish the Bang Bros good luck as they represent Colorado in the WSL/Worth West Coast Championships.
On Saturday the women also battled it out in the EAS Summer Slam I for the first time ever in SoCo Sport history. Just 4 Show made the trip down to Colorado Springs from Denver to get some competition in before they head to state and worlds next month. The trip treated them well as they won three straight games and knocked off Ballers 12-5 in the championship. SoCo Sport Inc has given Just 4 Show a paid entry in to the EAS Softball Classic at the end of the month and hope to see them back down as they continue to grow the women’s division throughout Colorado.
Sunday proved to be great competition for Co-Ed as all teams came out ready to compete to include Mixed Up, Ballers, No Control and Frogalot just to name a few. In the end it was Boats N’ Hoes and Pipeline Specialties in the championship game. Pipeline maintained the top half of the bracket as they knocked off Boats N’ Hoes early on 19-12, but Boats got their revenge when they won 14-11 in the championship game and forced the “if” game. However, Pipeline came out strong in the “if” game and took it too Boats N’ Hoes as they strolled to a 24-9 win to claim EAS Summer Slam I Co-Ed champions and earn a paid entry into the EAS Softball Classic on 1 September.
SoCo Sport Inc along with EAS would like to thank all teams and players for participating in the first annual EAS Summer Slam. Teams include: Men’s: Boys of Summer, SoCo Softball Club, USAG, Parker Enterprises, Midlife Crisis, Bang Bros, Big Daddy D’s, Miken/Dream Crushers, War Elephants, Pitch Slap, Cutlass and Colorado Springs Chaos.
